Weight-Less Accelerometers from Dytran

Published on December 21, 2010 at 4:27 AM

Dytran Instruments, leading designer and manufacture of piezoelectric and DC sensors, has announced the launch of its novel series of accelerometers for modal analysis purposes.

These 3305A series solutions feature three accelerometers, having sensitivities in the range of 10 mV/g, 100 mV/g, and 500 mV/g. These IEPE-type 3305A piezoelectric accelerometers are equipped with a ceramic shear detecting component associated with very low-noise JFET electronics.

It has an adhesive installation, industrial standard 10 to 32 radial connector and is hermetically protected for secure working in extreme humid and polluted environments. These accelerometers are packed in a 0.40 inch cubic enclosure, and are 3.7 g in weight. The ultra-low weight rigged sensing unit and the laser coated titanium enclosure provides long life-span to the system even in hand-arm and whole body vibration monitoring applications and Noise Vibration and Harshness (NVH) environments.

This 3305A series is identical to the company’s series of 3097A accelerometers. The 3097A has a 5 to 40 stud mount, whereas the 3305A features a flat surface for adhesive installation.
