System Sensor, a producer of sprinkler and duct monitoring, heat and smoke sensing and emergency warning systems, has introduced a new system called the FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology system that provides operational continuity along with protection over high-value assets and building tenants.
The FAAST Fire Alarm Aspiration Sensing Technology system can sense even minute traces of smoke, which is the initial notification of trouble, by capturing air into its sensor via a pipe network. This procedure makes the detector to provide ultra precise and careful very early warning fire detection required for challenging and high-critical areas such as prisons, corporate data centers, military destinations and 911 dispatch centers.
The FAAST smoke detector is based on its proprietary Dual Vision sensing technology. The sensor uses an ultra sensitive blue LED to detect fire very early up to 60 min. before the actual combustion. The sensor also utilizes an IR laser to detect dust, which can be a reason for downtime and false alarms. The sensor analyzes signals from both sources to offer very early notification about the broad range of fires existing.
The FAAST smoke detector’s parts including the front panel, the back housing and the left door are made of Bayblend FR3010’s polycarbonate/acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (PC/ABS) plastic from Bayer MaterialScience.
