AST’s Intrinsically Safe Pressure Transducers Receive ATEX Certification

American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST), manufacturer of pressure sensors and transmitters for pressure and level measurement, has achieved ATEX certification for its range of intrinsically safe pressure transducers.

In coordination with CSA and SIRA, AST has gained ATEX certification for Class I Zone 0 Exia IIB and IIC, T4 rated areas. The certification allows AST to expand its support of pressure and level measurement applications in oil and gas and alternative energy markets in Europe and the Middle East.

AST’s ATEX certified pressure transducers are available for submersible and non-submersible applications including oil field SCADA systems, compressors, hydraulic systems, water management and more. Units are available from 0-1 PSI (68millibar) to 20,000 PSI (1400 bar) in various material options including 316L, Inconel Hastelloy C276, and PVDF.
