SENSOR+TEST 2015, The Measurement Fair, Opens in Nürnberg, Germany

The AMA Association for Sensors and Measurement invites professionals from all over the world to the international measurement fair SENSOR+TEST in Nürnberg from the 19th to the 21st of May.

The nearly 550 exhibitors from Germany and abroad will again be greeting about 8,000 visitors from Tuesday to Thursday. The trade fair is considered to be the worldwide leading forum for sensor, measuring, and testing technology.

From microsensors to complex test rigs, from off-the-shelf components to custom-tailored services – the SENSOR+TEST reflects the entire spectrum of measuring system competence.

Holger Bödeker, managing director of the organizing AMA Service GmbH, is looking forward to three exciting days, both for visitors and exhibitors. “Our motto is Welcome to the Innovation Dialog,” he says, “ The SENSOR+TEST, with its high efficiency, clear structure, and concentration on the essentials, provides the ideal breeding ground for innovation.”

First-Rate International Conferences

Researchers and developers from all over the world await visitors with concentrated consultation competence to jointly find optimal solutions to specific projects.

Numerous first-rate presentations from research and development offer valuable knowhow and insights in two AMA Conferences: “SENSOR – the 17th International Conference on Sensors and Measurement Technology” and “IRS² – the 14th International Conference on Infrared Sensors and Systems.”

Also, on the opening day of the fair, the AMA Association will again present the coveted AMA Innovation Award for outstanding new developments with marketing potential.

Comprehensive Action Program

However, the SENSOR+TEST is much more than a fair and a conference: An action program parallel to the exhibition itself offers numerous possibilities to obtain information on new developments interactively – for instance, at the free technical forums, where exhibitors show innovative solutions during 70 presentations and of course at the action area with live, dynamic applications demonstrating sensor, measuring, and testing technology at work.

Special Topic Environmental Monitoring

At a special forum in Hall 12, visitors can get a concentrated and dedicated overview of new products and solutions in the area of “Environmental Monitoring,” this year’s special topic. On the first day of the fair, the presentation forum in Hall 12 will also deal with this subject. Other examples of a variety of interdisciplinary approaches at the SENSOR+TEST are shown at a special stand for “Vision Sensors and Systems.”

SENSOR+TEST App Offers a Future-Oriented Trade-Fair Experience

When it comes to informing its visitors, the SENSOR+TEST follows its motto, “Welcome to the Innovation Dialog!” To this effect, the organizers offer a trade-fair app for the first time. It boasts an indoor map and location detection, allowing visitors to see where they are and get information on the stands near their current location. The app runs on Android and iOS smartphones and is based on low-energy transmitters called Bluetooth beacons. It was developed with the support of Rutronik GmbH, one of the exhibitors at the SENSOR+TEST.
