Teledyne has introduced a UV/IR flame detector called DF-TV7-V that provides a broad range of output options as standard and is well-suited for use in SIL-2 applications.
The flame detector can be configured to interact with an extensive range of PLCs, controllers, and fire panels, and provide Syntel (Lonworks) and HART 7 procedures for addressable event monitoring.
The detectors come standard with two detector status LEDs, a configurable 0–22 mA or 4–20 mA (PLC) output, and two configurable alarm relays.
All MultiFlame detectors are fitted with a constant optical lens auto-check to guarantee that the detector works properly and the optical path is clear. Users can easily replace the sensors in the field without eliminating any cable glands.
The devices can be easily tested and configured with a TLU600 wireless hand-held unit that is approved for use in dangerous areas. Moreover, the TLU600 unit can be utilized for wireless testing of the optical and output circuits.
