AKG C1000 is ideally suited for all kinds of recording application and sound reinforcement and is hence very popular. If there is no phantom power available, it will also operate on a normal 9 V battery which makes it highly suitable for mobile applications, too. It features an LED indicator for battery status. Consequently, if battery life falls below 45 minutes, the red LED indicator will flash up. The included Polar Pattern Converter (PPC 1000), lets you change over from cardioid to hypercardioid if required. In addition, the Presence Boost Adapter (PB 1000), which is also included, will create a rise of higher frequencies by about 3 to 5 dB at 5 to 9 kHz which does not only add clarity to your vocals, but also brilliance to the captured sound of your instruments.
