ASI Launches Proximity Sensors for High Temperature Applications

Automation Systems Interconnect has added the novel 50mm sensing devices to its wide series of high temperature inductive proximity sensing units.

Proximity sensor

These high temperature sensors from ASI are enclosed in stainless steel packages for performing high temperature applications in the range of 250°C or 482°F. They provide 40mm switching distances and are obtainable in PNP or NPN configurations. The sensors, which are functional at above 180°C are labelled with ‘EXT’ in the product syntax and are supplied with an exterior amplifier for operation.Two modes or amplifier choices are available from ASI for meeting various engineering applications.

The intensive temperature l ASI sensors are suitable for performing constant, reliable operations at high ambient temperatures in rolling mills, press of chipboard and painting, steel mills, metallurgical and glass industry, plants for the automotive industry etc.
