AST Pressure Sensors Acquire ABSCertification

American Sensor Technologies (AST), major fabricator of pressure transducers, MEMS pressure sensors, and pressure transmitters, has acquired ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) certification for its numerous versions of pressure sensors deployed in marine and offshore purposes.

This ABS grade endorses that these AST sensing units can be reliably used on ABS categorized vessels. AST’s ABS authorized pressure sensors provide discrete benefits and applications in offshore oil platforms, barges, ships, and desalination.

The company’s AST4000 UL/cUL 508 certified pressure sensor has various applications in engine room pressure monitoring of coolant, fuel, oil, cranes hydraulics, and desalination systems.

The AST4310, AST43LP, AST4300, AST44LP, AST4400, AST4410, AST4600, and AST46HA harmful area pressure sensors are functional in extreme locations including engine control units, natural gas engines and dual fuel (natural gas/diesel) systems for ships, fuel storage, boiler room, energy management and power generation.

The AST4500,AST4510, and AST4520 submersible pressure transducer models are suitable for level calibrations for fuel, wastewater, water, desalination systems and ballast, whereas the AST5400 differential pressure sensors are deployed for flow and filtration purposes in fuel, oil water, and hydraulics.
