OPTO Diode Secures IRD for Advancing their Solutions

Opto Diode, a unit of ITW, and a member of the ITW Photonics Group, proclaimed that they have procured International Radiation Detectors (IRD). IRD is a leading producer of semiconductor radiation systems, which identifies high energy particles and photons in the UV range, and X-ray spectrum.

IRD’s technology will significantly enhance Opto Diode's potentiality and aids the production of high quality photodiodes, in addition to secure, visible and IR LEDs. Every IRD process will be shifted and integrated into the Opto Diode's national facility situated in Newbury Park, at California.

According to the general manager of Opto Diode,Russ Dahl, they are highly honored to declare this achievement and will be providing IRD-standard radiation detectors for calibrating ultraviolet, visible , extreme ultraviolet (XUV, also called EUV), and soft X-ray photons. He remarked that Mr. Raj Korde, originator of International Radiation Detectors, and Mr. Dejan Jovanovic, his associate, are associating with Opto Diode as permanent members of the team and he anticipates that this collaboration will bring unified constancy in their functions and marketing of all IRD-brand products.

Opto Diode is providing most of the IRD solutions, comprising improved, durable photodiodes with high quantum proficiency and radiation hardness. The company’s IRD solutions are the only accessible NIST-certified product series meeting silicon photodiode transmission standards that falls within the range of 5 nm to 250 nm spectrum.
