Teletrac declared that Fleet Director, an advanced fleet management solution, has been chosen by Isuzu Commercial Truck of America. The function of the Fleet Director is to locate and monitor the position and activities of fleet vehicles.
With the help of Fleet Director, fleet managers have a better visibility of the activities to provide cost-saving solutions such as automatic route guidance, reduced fuel usage, real-time vehicle tracking from desktop, and comprehensive reporting to meet regulatory compliance. The latest version of the Fleet Director is based on several advanced technologies that provide live data and online analytics for safe vehicle monitoring.
The Fleet Director Version 8.2 gives operators the freedom to monitor and analyse the performance of the fleet using a web browser. It analyses the performance of the fleet by a set of safety indicators such as speeding miles, harsh braking events, bad cornering etc. The fleet monitoring system also provides diagnostic assistance through diagnostic trouble code reporting, which acts like a virtual in house mechanic.
The Isuzu N-Series truck customers can enjoy accurate performance and monitoring facilities which is the result of the comprehensive monitoring system developed jointly by Teletrac and Isuzu. Three models of the Fleet Director, namely NPR-HD, NRR and NQR will be available in May 2011.
