The Sensor Solutions Technology Zone, which offers complete sensor design resources to engineers, was recently launched by Digi-Key, a distributor of electronic components.

This zone is featured on the website of Digi-Key – www.digikey.com/technologyzones. Digi-Key is considered by the design engineers as having the widest range of electronic components in the industry, which can be shipped immediately. Besides this website, the company has offered various timesaving, cost saving and valuable resources to design engineers.

The Zone offers technical resources to engineers for the selection of sensor parts like accelerometers/inclinometers, Digi-Key distributed evaluation boards and development tools, etc. A product guide representing more than 65 of the company’s world leading manufacturers and product vendors; 36 training modules pertaining to sensor products, application notes, and a parameter-based search tool for the determination of sensor products that can be procured through Dig-Key, is available at the ‘Sensor Resources’ section of the website.

Apart from this, other technology zones are also available for wireless, microcontroller and lighting solutions. These zones are engineering oriented web-based environments offering technological information relating to resources, products, product training modules, suppliers, and many more.

Dave Doherty, vice president of semiconductor product at Digi-Key, informed that engineers who design new devices will refer the Sensor Solutions Technology Zone. Tony Harris, chief marketing officer at Digi-Key added that engineers will be able to save money and time while completing their sensor designs since resources are available at finger tips.
