Goodrich Opens New Facility in California to Support Sensors and Integrated Sites Worldwide

Goodrich has recently conducted an inaugural ceremony, commemorating the grand opening of its newly-built facility in Brea, California. The participants of the ceremony included civic leaders and Goodrich employees.

During this event, the attendees were given a tour of design, manufacture and development areas within the new 105,000 square-foot facility. This new Brea site is a division of Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems business, and includes around 260 employees working in varied disciplines such as manufacturing, engineering, and management functions.

The Brea site will deliver cargo winches, rescue hoists, digital data systems and in-flight entertainment products and associated services that will greatly benefit the defense and aerospace industry. The site will function as the business' software center of excellence, through which software design and support will be offered to all global Sensors and Integrated Systems sites. The new site integrates two previously established California-based Goodrich facilities in Monterey Park and Diamond Bar. In addition, it extends additional space for further expansion and growth of business.

Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems VP and General Manager, Mark Skarohlid commented that this new facility denotes a business dedication to deliver innovative services for Goodrich employees and its customers. By integrating the company’s two nearby sites within the Brea location, there will be a substantial growth in business. This facility enables the company to leverage its workforce and other resources for development of potential business.

Goodrich, a Fortune 500 company, serves to be a worldwide provider of systems and services to the defense and aerospace industries. Having one of the most strategically classified product portfolios within the industry, Goodrich’s global manufacturing and service facilities ensure serving as an excellent global customer platform.
