CTS declared that CTS Automotive Products has been presented with three new production programs for delivering sensors for two turbocharger applications and for a North American active manifold application.
These sensor awards’ total expected revenues amount to around $15 M. CTS’ development and launch initiative of a series of new products in its sensor product line has been achieved successfully which has been reflected in these business awards.
CTS will deliver active manifold sensors to leading Tier 1 supplier that supports light-truck and sports car applications within the North American region. Controlling air intake on engines can be facilitated by these sensors. This results in lower emissions and better performance. First deliveries are scheduled during mid-2014. Approximately $8 M revenues have been estimated over the five-year program life.
In addition, CTS’ turbocharger sensors will be delivered to a global turbocharger for incorporation and deployment within two new passenger car and light commercial vehicle applications across Europe. These sensors will drive the engine power of turbocharger systems in addition to bringing improvements to fuel economy. Around $7 M revenues are anticipated for these programs over their five-year life. The first deliveries are expected during 2014.
