Savi Technologies Launches Radio Frequency SoC

Savi Technologies, provider of supply chain information and technology solutions and services, has developed a Radio Frequency system-on-a-chip (SoC) that can be used in supply chain tracking applications.

The chip, which measures 9mm X 9mm, is a single integrated version of three different microprocessor chips. The dime-sized chip is equipped with an ultra – low power 32-bit ARM processor core. The Savi RFID SoC is smaller and less complex and yet retains all the functionalities of a Savi RFID product

The SoC is intended for use in manufacture of DASH7 RFID based tracking devices. The resulting reduction in size of RFID hardware would enable incorporation of RFID in other devices. The product is not just meant for use by Savi in its design and deployment of solutions for supply chain and asset management processes, but will also be made available to other developers through Savi’s Developer program. Savi’s OEM modules are sold to the developers thereby giving them access to Savi’s RFID technology. The RFID SoC has been added to the suite of products available for sale to other developers.
