High Tech Pet Products to Release Advanced Dog Training Collar Featuring GPS Tracking

High Tech Pet Products, Inc., a leading manufacturer of automatic dog doors, pet doors, invisible fences, dog training collars and bark collars, announced plans to release an advanced "Super Collar" in early 2015.

The new collar uses the company's patent pending Bluefang Bluetooth dog collar technology that allows the pet owner to control the collar in real-time via an iPhone or Android smart phone. The new collar includes a wealth of advanced features including GPS tracking, wireless fence containment, real-time activity and health monitoring and doggie fitness training. Its also the first pet collar to provide automatic texting, tweeting and posting to social media triggered by the dog's activity. It has the ability to accept voice phone calls from the pet owner and numerous other high tech functions. According to company president, Nick Bonge, the company has filed a broad range of patent applications covering numerous new pet related technologies. "The new collar will be the only GPS tracking collar that also provides containment," Bonge said. The patent pending technology keeps the power hungry GPS turned off as long as the dog remains in the electric dog fence area. If the dog somehow manages to escape, the system instantly begins tracking the collar.

"The new device will be a lot like an iPhone for dogs," Bonge said. It will allow the pet owner to call up the collar from any cell phone enabled location on Earth, transmitting voice messages to the collar's audio quality speaker. This capability can be combined with the collar's remote training feature allowing the pet trainer to send voice commands, tones and corrective stimulus for remarkably effective long range remote dog training. The collar can also send its own texts, tweets and audio files triggered by selected events such as excessive barking, an increase in the dog's heart or respiratory rate, temperature or activity level. It can even make its own posts to Facebook and Instagram.

The collar contains a 6 axis, gyroscopic accelerometer that can precisely measure the pet's activity level. Unlike some products on the market today that provide only a rough idea of activity level, the Bluefang super collar monitors actual speed and calorie burn in real time, allowing a pet owner to guide the dog through a custom exercise session designed for the dog's unique fitness level providing optimum exercise intensity and duration. The smart phone app first determines the dog's physical fitness level and BMI, then creates a comprehensive exercise routine that will get Fido back in shape quickly and safely. There's even a mode that allows the pet owner to train along with the dog, great for runners and bikers that like to exercise in tandem with their dogs.

High Tech Pet has integrated the new collar with its Power Pet fully automatic dog doors, cat doors and other pet operated devices. The company expects the introduction of its new patent pending super collar to solidify its place as the nation's leading developer of ingenious pet products.
