Blanketing in Petrochemical

Blanketing is usually used to mitigate the risk of explosion when a highly flammable product is being transported or stored.

When hydrocarbon liquids are stored in tanks, there are chances that air will leak into the headspace above the liquid level forming explosive gas mixtures.
