High Speed Machine Vision VGA Resolution CMOS Image Sensor - CMOSIS CMV300

The CMV300, developed mainly for machine vision applications is a high-speed CMOS image sensor with a resolution of 648 by 488 pixels (1/3" optical format). The image array comprises 7.4 x 7.4µm pipelined global shutter pixels that enable exposure during CDS operation and read out. The user can choose between one 10-bit parallel CMOS output or four digital LVDS serial outputs of 8, 10 or 12 bits each.

Key Features

The key features of the CMOS image sensor are:

  • Low noise global shutter sensor
  • The image sensor combines offset regulation and a programmable gain amplifier
  • Each LVDS channel runs at a maximum of 300 Mbps resulting in a maximum of 300 fps at full resolution
  • It is possible to achieve higher frame rates in a row sub-sampling or row windowing mode. All modes can be programmed with the SPI interface
  • A programmable on-board sequencer and PLL generate read-out timings, high-speed clocks and internal exposure triggers
  • Exposure programming and external triggering is also feasible
  • It is possible to obtain extended optical dynamic range by several integrated high dynamic range modes
