CMOSIS has introduced the CMV12000 is a high sensitivity pipelined global shutter CMOS image sensor having a resolution of 4096 x 3072 pixels (super HD format).
Pipelining means that exposure is possible during readout. Advanced pixel design enables true correlated double sampling (CDS) minimizing the fixed pattern noise and dark noise considerably.
The salient features of the CMV12000 are:
- Low noise, global shutter sensor
- 64 LVDS channels are combined by the imager each running at 300Mbps resulting in a 150fps frame rate at full resolution (10 bits per pixel).
- The signals required for read-out and exposure of the image sensor are produced by an internal timing generator while external exposure triggering remains possible.
- It is possible to set driving and read-out programming over a serial peripheral interface.
