The FLIR Tau SWIR Miniature Camera Core for OEM Applications

FLIR has expanded its Tau range of miniature cameras with the addition of the latest models, Tau SWIR 15XRH and Tau SWIR 25 miniature cameras. The cameras are designed for a wide range of OEM applications, such as weapon sights, night vision, UAV/UGV sensor sockets and electro optical payloads.

The Tau SWIR 15XRH offers excellent shortwave infrared imaging performance from 500 to 1700nm spectrum (50% RSR from 800 to 1700nm). It features a high-resolution (640 × 512) indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) 25-micron pixel pitch focal plane array that provides high frame rates (in subwindowing mode), high quantum efficiency, variable exposure control and almost zero image lag. Power consumption is less than 2W (at 20°C case temperature).

The Tau SWIR camera provides excellent image quality in all lighting conditions and includes non-uniformity correction and advance automatic gain control. It weighs 130g (with the M24 lens mount) and measures 1.5" x 1.5" x 1.9", thus making it suitable for compact UAV/UGV and battery powered viewers.
