Rugged Oval Gear Flowmeters from Titan

Titan’s range of Rugged Oval Gear flowmeters are compact high performance and economical instruments. These meters are capable of measuring both water and lubricating fluids. Some of the flowmeters are built with fully non-metallic wetted parts, ceramic, PEEK™, and a specific type of elastomer which makes these suitable for metering of harsh chemicals. The standard inlet and outlet are BSP or NPT female threads. Flanges are also provided.

In case of OEM, alternatives such as manifold mountings should be used. The standard models are 316 stainless steel, Hastelloy C, aluminium, and PEEK. Similarly, when used in hazardous areas, a Namur sensor or reed switch is recommended for use.

These flowmeters consist of a pair of toothed oval gears, one of which is equipped with chemically resistant magnets. The gears rotate freely on strong bearings. The rotation is detected through the chamber wall by a Namur sensor, Hall Effect detector, or a reed switch providing a number pulses per litre passed. The output is an NPN pulse or a voltage free contact closure. These can be easily interfaced with several electronic display or recording devices.
