The MultiFlame DF-TV7–V is built to respond to undesirable hydrocarbon fires, while keeping a high degree of false alarm immunity. The DF-TV7-V flame detector uses integrated UV/infrared (UV-2IR) optical technology that offers industry-leading immunity to false alarms based on the two IR channel design.
The device provides an extensive range of output options, as standard and is ideal for use in SIL 2 applications. The detector can be configured to communicate with numerous types of fire controllers, panels and PLCs and offer Syntel (Lonworks) and HART 7 protocols for addressable event monitoring. The devices as standard come with two configurable alarm relays, a configurable 0-22 mA or 4-20 mA (PLC) output and two detector status LEDs.
All MultiFlame detectors are fitted with a continuous optical lens auto-check to guarantee that the optical path is clear and that the detector works well. Sensors can be substituted easily in the field without the need to remove any cable glands. Devices are simple to test and configure using a TLU600 wireless hand-held unit that is approved for use in risky areas. Wireless testing of the optical and output circuits can be done with the TLU600. The TLU600 can also be used for wireless testing of the output and optical circuits.
