All Grating Fiber LBL 1550-125

The All Grating Fiber (AGF) LBL 1550-125 is a densely spaced low reflective (R<0.1%) Draw Tower Gratings (DTG®s) written into Low Bend Loss fiber LBL-1550-125 which has a cladding diameter of 125 µm and is enhanced for operation in the 1550 nm wavelength window.

The spatial separation from center to center can be as small as 10 mm and the FBG length can be selected such that over 95% of the fiber contains gratings. The fiber is intended to be used with an optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) system that allows for quick and precise measurements over a broad strain or temperature range with spatial resolution down to a few mm over the whole fiber length.

The Low Bend Loss fiber LBL-1550-125 has a cladding diameter of 125 µm and is enhanced for operation in the 1550 nm wavelength window. The glass composition has also been adjusted such that the fiber upholds a good signal transmission under small bending diameters.

The fiber is engineered to be used with an optical frequency domain reflectometry (OFDR) system that allows quick and precise measurements over a broad strain or temperature range.
