The IST AG HYT 221 mechanically robust humidity modules are equipped with a chemical and condensed waterproof sensing area, as well as a round stainless steel casing that can easily be fitted into housing openings or sealed against the wall with the use of an O-ring. Combined with the waterproof metal filter, the HYT 221 results in an assembly that is splash waterproof and an enabled sealed housing construction that provides a high dynamic responsiveness.
The HYT 221 is precisely calibrated to ensure its ability to deliver an accuracy of ±1.8 % RH and ±0.2 °C, while simultaneously combining the advantages of a precise, capacitive polymer humidity sensor with the high integration density and functionality of an ASIC. The digital software integrated in the module processes the measured data and delivers the physical parameters of the acquired data on the humidity and temperature of a given area over the I²C compatible interface as digital values.
The HYT 221 module is fully interchangeable without requiring further adjustment by the user. Both the linearity error as well as temperature drift are corrected “on-chip” resulting in outstanding accuracy that can be utilized a wide range of applications including meteorology, industrial drying systems, medical devices and agriculture purposes.
