SBS-2206S: Battery Capacity Tester

Regular testing is the only way to know if your stationary batteries will perform to specifications.

NERC standard PRC-005-2 requires discharge testing vented lead acid and nickel cadmium (NiCd) systems every six (6) years and the valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) batteries every three (3) years. IEEE suggests that load testing stationary flooded/vented lead acid and NiCd stationary batteries are completed every five (5 )years and VRLA batteries every 12–18 months.

The SBS-2206S constant current load banks are very simple and affordable ways to execute precise IEEE450 (Vented Lead-Acid), IEEE1106 (Ni-Cad) and IEEE1188 (VRLA) load tests.

These units are fast and require simple set up. They exhibit the voltage, current and Ah removed from the string during the test. Since this is a constant current load bank, the user also does not have to regulate the current during testing.

These load banks come standard with various flexible stop points and fixed protection to make certain that the batteries are not at all damaged because of over-discharge.
