- Measuring Accuracy Up to +/- 0.2 mm (0.008")
- Resolution Better Than 1 mm (0.04")
- Temperature Compensated
This highly precise and hardwearing level sensor provides a constant output of liquid media levels in tanks. The sensor exploits the physical effect of magnetostriction to make the measurements, so it is largely unaffected by temperature.
Magnetostriction is especially useful when highly accurate level measurements are required e.g. in the chemical industry. The sensor outputs measuring signals from 4 to 20 mA. With available lengths ranging from 200 to 4,000 mm (8" to 157"), it can be used with a variety of tank dimensions. It also comes in the following versions:
If the tank atmosphere is potentially explosive, and electrical equipment of category 1 (zone 0) or category 1/2 (zone 0/1) is required, the explosion-proof version of the level sensor is the best option. Operating on the digital HART protocol, the HART level sensor can identify and report the position of the first, second or both floats.
