The Additel 780 Series Pressure Controller is a benchtop controller that incorporates Additel’s exceptional properties of durability, accuracy and quality, all the while exhibiting numerous features and functionality that is particularly easy to use. With two base ranges that establish the maximum controller range of the controller, the ADT780 can reach up to either 1,000 psi (70 bar) or 3,000 psi (200 bar), depending upon which model is purchased.
Furthermore, each of these configurations comes with a control sensor that is preselected to the sensor range that is specific to the user’s application. Both external and internal sensors expand the range and accuracy capabilities of these devices for future use.
Additional controller types that can be selected include the Additel 780S, which is the standard controller option that does not require any measurement capability, as well as the Additel 780 that exhibits an expanded functionality that includes electrical measurement and HART and Pro bus PA communication.
Each ADT780 unit is equipped with a single Intelligent Pressure Module that has been configured to the numerous available ranges. Standard accuracy sensors (ADT160A-CPXXX) are silicone pressure sensors with a 1 year accuracy of 0.02% FS, whereas the precision quartz based sensors improve the 1 year accuracy specification to 0.005% of reading + 0.005% FS.
Each sensor has been specifically aged, tested and screened prior to its assembly. Following the completion of the sensor’s assembly, each sensor is temperature compensated over the range of 0 °C to 50 °C.
The ADT780 series allows for one internal pressure sensor and one external pressure sensor. The modular design of this unit allows for users to easily interchange both the internal and external sensors with other Intelligent Pressure Modules as necessary. In addition to the Intelligent Pressure Modules, the ADT780 series also comes with a built-in barometric sensor that allows switching between gauge pressures to absolute pressures.
Most pressure controllers require a nitrogen bottle for the gas supply. As a result of the presence of this gas bottle, it is often difficult to move the controller around without causing movement of or connecting another bottle. To compensate for this limitation, the ADT780 series is equipped with an optional electric pump that allows pressures of up to 1,000 psi (70 bar) to be generating without requiring the use of a gas bottle. This configuration is also achievable with the ADT780 model that reaches 3,000 psi (200 bar).

The ADT780 Series Pressure Controller can be used for a very wide variety of applications that typically require a pressure calibrator. Each controller comes with a built-in capability that includes current and voltage measurement capability, 24 volt loop power, HART® and Profibus PA communication, switch measurement capability, and much more.
