MIPEX-02, a Fully Digital, Microchip-Based NDIR Optical Gas Sensor

The MIPEX-02 is a fully digital, microchip-based NDIR optical gas sensor of an industry-standard size that is based on a proprietary LED technology. It offers exceptionally low power consumption (less than 3 mW). This sensor is engineered for maximum performance and application in the most dangerous and toxic environments. The MIPEX-02 demonstrates excellent reliability, accuracy of measurement, and reaction to increasing gas concentration.

The MIPEX-02 methane and hydrocarbons sensors can be employed in almost any type of gas analysis devices. They are offered in a range of configurations customized to the requirements of key customer groups and application situations. Containing a microcontroller and an advanced digital interface, the sensors are designed to carry out self-diagnostics for higher fault tolerance and applying special algorithms to guarantee a linerized output signal. The same microcontroller, joined with the patented LED emitter, photodetector, and signal processing algorithms enables rapid gas detection and provides protection from temperature variations.
