Terabee 3Dcam allows for 3D visualisation with a resolution of 80 x 60 pixel and 74° x 57° Field-of-View. The 3D Time-of-Flight camera gains from a strong aluminum casing while still providing a compact (83 g) and discrete design. It is easy to install and to stream depth data via USB interface on Linux OS or Windows. The Terabee 3Dcam is equipped with an OpenNI-based SDK, C/C++ samples, ROS package, and Python samples.

Two Operating Range Modes
The ToF depth camera was built for indoor use and features flexible range options to better match user necessities.
Close-range mode can be chosen and depth data starting from 20 cm can be acquired. This is suitable for close-range applications, like hand gesture recognition.
Switch to basic mode with its 4 m range for people and movement monitoring, volume measurement, and robot navigation applications.
By employing active Time-of-Flight technology to detect depth, the 3D camera gathers non-intrusive depth image data, meaning that personal identity cannot ever be captured. Moreover, since the camera does not need ambient illumination for top performance, it matches applications in low light or total darkness.
Ready for Discrete Installations
The aluminum casing of Terabee 3Dcam 80×60 provides an easy back-panel mounting option for a more discrete and unified look. For research and fast prototyping projects, the long screw slots can be used to attach it to a surface quickly.

Terabee’s compact camera is provided with an SDK containing drivers and sample codes to help users begin quickly. For tests on a PC, there is a visualization tool. It is easy to install and to stream depth data via USB on Linux OS or Windows.
The SDK enables users to kick-start application development using the OpenNI framework in C/C++ or other languages, such as Python, with current OpenNI bindings. Drivers for ROS can also be procured.
