Kipp & Zonen’s SMP22 is a spectrally flat Class A pyranometer that integrates the new smart interface with the sensor technology and quartz domes from the CMP22. The CMP22 has an established track record of several decades, and this makes SMP22 the most reliable and accurate pyranometer in the world.
The SMP22 features the widest spectral range, minimized thermal offsets and enhanced directional response. Thanks to the highest optical quality domes, the directional error is minimized below 5 W/m2. As a standard, the SMP22 features an RS-485 Modbus® interface and comes with a five-year warranty. The SMP22 is highly robust.
The SMP22 also includes an internal desiccant, thus enabling it to last for a minimum of 10 years. This considerably reduces the need for maintenance. It is feasible to extend the interval for dome cleaning and maximize the measurement quality by integrating a CVF4 ventilation unit into the SMP22.
The SMP22 offers improved response time, amplified analog output and individual temperature-corrected measurement data, while also featuring a digital interface. The SMP22 comes with individual measured cosine response data.
Thanks to the low and wide power supply range of 5–30 VDC, the SMP22 can be easily integrated into meteorological and solar energy stations.
The standardized output and connections of each SMP22 enable the easy exchange of instruments for recalibration. SmartExplorer Windows™ software comes as a standard for data logging, data display and Modbus® address setting.
