LifeSens – Single Channel Signal Conditioner
The LifeSens is a small signal conditioner that has been specifically developed for quantifying physiological pressure. When integrated with OpSens’ OPP-M fiber optic sensors, the LifeSens provides excellent pressure measurements with all the features needed for life science applications.
The LifeSens benefits from OpSens’ White Light Polarization Interferometry (WLPI) technology (Patent # 7,259,862), thereby offering highly precise and dependable absolute Fabry-Perot cavity length measurements.
LifeSens provides pressure measurements at a rate of 250 Hz. An internal manometer automatically adjusts for atmospheric pressure change. The system accepts the OpSens’ SCPROM connector that has the potential to store the OPP-M sensor gauge factor. Upon mating the sensor, the gauge factor is smoothly sent to the LifeSens conditioner.
The LifeSens has been fitted with an LCD display and it can be operated with a battery. It is available with an RS-232 communication port and a standard ± 5 V output for real-time data acquisition.
