The OTG-M Series sensors employ a tried-and-tested technology based on the temperature-dependent bandgap of GaAs crystal as that of the temperature transduction mechanism.

Tip measurement applications are made simple by its tiny GaAs crystal, which is positioned at the optical fiber’s tip. The response time and sensor diameter (OD), which are detailed in the specifications section, are the two features that set each model of the OTG-M series apart from one another.

The OTG-M Series offers unparalleled repeatability and reliability in extreme conditions, such as high levels of MR, EM, RF, and microwave field settings, when combined with OpSens’ SCBG (Semiconductor Bandgap) signal conditioning technology and also with the advantages of fiber optic.

All SCBG signal conditioners from OpSens are compatible with the OTG-M Series and constructed using optical fiber that is industry standard. With a variety of optical cables and sheath choices, this small yet dependable fiber optic temperature sensor can be tailored to fit a variety of OEM or customer-specific applications.
