OPP-M200 (Bare) - MEMS-Based Fiber Optic Pressure Sensor

The MEMS-based fiber optic pressure sensor OPP-M from OpSens is intended for measuring physiological pressure in humans and animals.

These minuscule 0.20 mm OD sensors are designed to be used in catheters, guidewires, and other devices that allow for minimally invasive detection of physiological pressure. Its innovative, patent-pending construction minimizes thermal zero shift and moisture-induced drift.

The bare optical pressure sensors are intended for customers who need a very small size or want to create custom sensor packaging in-house for their products.

OpSens’ OPP-M200 is integration ready. Encapsulation can be applied to the sensor tip and/or the entire optical cable in a variety of materials and sizes, depending on the OEM applications required by the customer.

OpSens' dedicated OEM team works with you customize for your needs, which greatly minimizes R&D expenditures and integration difficulties. This lowers the overall cost of manufacturing and commercialization.

The OpSens OPP-M addresses the medical industry’s needs for long-term accuracy, low-drift, repeatability, and high fidelity pressure measurements under the presence of harsh EM, MR, RF, and microwave fields by combining Opsens WLPI signal conditioning technology (patent #7,259,862) with the inherent advantages of fiber optic.
