The CHM8k ceilometer from OTT HydroMet quantifies cloud bases reliably throughout the year in any climate. At daytime, it detects cloud bases up to 8 km in height and aerosol backscatter profiles up to 10 km in height. A 905 nm laser diode is integrated into the device. Measurements at low altitudes are especially well suited for the analog detection unit.
