FLIR Advanced Thermal Solutions has revealed the FLIR GF304 IR gas imaging camera. Designed to detect refrigerant gas leaks, the FLIR GF304 reduces the revenue loss associated with shutting down refrigeration systems by pinpointing the exact location of the gas leak from a distance. It also reduces the inspection time by rapidly scanning broad areas without interrupting the refrigeration process.
Refrigerant gases are widely used in industrial refrigeration systems as well as in automotive and pharmaceutical industries. Refrigeration gases are vital components to ensure the storing and processing of cooled goods using an industrial refrigeration system, but are harmful to the environment. Additionally, it is essential that leaks are detected rapidly as replacing the gas is costly.
Featuring a cooled QWIP (Quantum Well Infrared Photodetector) and a cold band pass filter, the FLIR GF304 detects refrigerant gases in the 8 - 8.6 µm waveband. The gases detected include R245fa, R422A, R417A, R134A, R410A, R407C, R143A, R404A, R507A and R125. The sensitivity of the GF304 camera is further increased with the High Sensitivity Mode, enabling it to detect the smallest gas leaks and ensure rapid and easy inspection process with higher accuracy.
The FLIR GF304 camera can also be used for maintenance inspections requiring temperature readings. It can visualize temperatures ranging between -20°C and +500°C, allowing inspection of low voltage and high voltage facilities.
Featuring a tiltable viewfinder and bright 4.3” LCD screen, the gas imaging GF304 camera can be connected to tablet PCs and smartphones wirelessly to transfer images using a USB Wi-Fi adapter. The FLIR GF304 camera is available with either a fixed 24° lens or a fixed 14.5° lens.
