FLIR Systems has designed an advanced and cost-effective optical gas imaging camera called GF346. The camera can instantly detect and visualise the emission of carbon monoxide (CO) and 17 other harmful gases. All this is done from a safe distance without interrupting the production at plant.
In steel manufacturing operations and other industries, CO emissions need to be monitored closely. Such emissions can pose a major threat; in fact even the slightest leak in a pipe or vent stack can have a disastrous effect. In order to ensure safety and protect both the investment in infrastructure and the environment, the FLIR GF346 camera offers a suitable solution.
The GF346 camera can quickly scan large areas and detects leaks in real time. This makes it suitable for monitoring plants where it is hard to reach components with gas sniffers or other contact measurement tools. The camera can scan thousands of components per shift without interrupting the process.
