Herzan has introduced a new, advanced site survey tool called the WaveCatcher system for measuring noise and vibration levels in the environment. The system enables the users to determine the noise levels simply at the touch of a button.
Ann Scanlan, President of Herzan, stated that conventional systems come with a lot of challenges and are too complex to measure the noise and vibration levels in the environment. The WaveCatcher is a mobile site survey system, which eliminates all these problems, she said.
The company primarily focuses on producing efficient noise and vibration control equipment for the precision research industry. However, increased demand for user-friendly systems drove the company to study the acoustic noise and vibration in the laboratory.
Herzan, with the help of end-users and leading software developers, started to work on a particular tool and refined it to produce the WaveCatcher system. The system features an acoustic sensor, a vibration sensor, a data conversion unit and a compact and advanced analysis and computer software. The system can be carried with a single hand and can be set up easily and quickly.
Scanlan added that the WaveCatcher system offers an affordable solution and provides a viable alternative for a diverse range of users such as facility managers, product testers, instrument makers and scientific researchers. She informed that the tool will prove handy from the conceptual phase to the production phase.
