Siemens Industry Automation unit has fabricated a novel ultrasonic clamp-on flowmeter, Sitrans FST020 for standard flow monitoring applications with simple data transmission capacities.
The flowmeter practically evaluates any liquid and satisfies specific necessities of industries such as wastewater and water, HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning), chemical and power. The devices can be integrated on pipes up to DN size 9000 (360 inches) and the uncomplicated design setup and options furnished along with it facilitates easy installation.

Sitrans FST020 is fabricated so as to meet the basic requirements of industrial process applications including single passage calibration and easy design options for the direct, simplified selection of the products along with other options that serve the industrial purposes. The RS232 transmission and an easy to use structure promote quick and simplified system set-up and contour. The clamp-on model is ideal for retrofit purposes and in installations where toxic, corrosive or high pressure liquids eliminate the necessity of cleaving the pipes.
The precision of Sitrans FST020 falls within the range of 1% to 2 % and provides high-quality performance and stable measuring outputs. The devise operates on characteristic ultrasonic WideBeam sensor technology which enables constant performance even in hazardous environments.
