4B Launches Adjustable Depth Bearing Temperature Sensors

4B has unveiled an adjustable depth bearing (ADB) temperature sensor with a unique design, which permits the probe’s depth to be modified according to the type of applications. The length of the regular probes used in the ADB series varies between 2, 4 and 8 inches.

The sensor is directly attached into a bearing housing via the already available individual grease zerk thread thus the removal of the sensor for bearing lubrication is unnecessary.

The ADB series use NTC category thermistors, which permit the monitoring of temperature continuously. This in turn allows the series to be coupled to a hazard monitoring system such as 4B's T500 Watchdog Elite or Hotbus Elite, or to a PLC.

IECEx, CSA, ATEX have agreed to the usage of the ADB series of bearing temperature sensors in harmful areas. 4B Braime Elevator Components, a division of 4B, is a major distributor of safety control systems, intelligent sensors and level controls, which save expensive idle time and reduce the danger of blast in harmful areas.
