Electronic materials company, Cambrios has signed a Reference Design Partner Agreement with Synaptics, a company that develops human interface solutions for communications, entertainment and mobile computing devices.
The special ClearOhm conductive film material produced by Cambrios would be utilized by Synaptics as a transparent electrode in its reference designs for projected capacitive touch sensors. Synaptics would also incorporate its intellectual property and integrated circuits in the reference designs.
The reference design would facilitate a variety of multi-touch solutions for tablet computers, smart phones and other electronics devices. The first reference designs with ClearOhm conductive film material are expected to hit the market in summer 2011 and would be an alternative to existing ITO sensor designs.
