The PRTG Network Monitor uses specialized remote probes for fast configuration and deployment of a decentralized monitoring program for meeting the requirements of organizations having multiple branches, and the providers of IT services who remotely monitor distributed customer networks.
These remote probes connect to the PRTG server using a secure SSL connection, and then download the required sensor configuration to commence the monitoring process.
