VITRONIC’s PoliScanspeed Systems Benefits Enforcement Systems in Dubai

VITRONIC systems introduced new PoliScanspeed systems for measuring the position and speed of vehicles.

Up to 5.8 times more violators captured than with competetive systems

According to the recent statistics of the Dubai Police for the year 2011, the 27 PoliScanspeed systems from VITRONIC captured 565,148 violators, among the 1.7 M traffic violations registered by the 323 speed enforcement systems in Dubai. This is a demonstration of the PoliScanspeed’s efficiency, and indicates the supremacy of VITRONIC systems over the other systems in Dubai.

The data collected by the Dubai Police illustrates VITRONIC’s PoliScanspeed system to be effective in spotting more cases, compared to other systems.

VITRONIC’s PoliScanspeed systems function with LIDAR technology, which also forms the basis for manufacturing in-road equipment including sensors or loops. A scanning laser evaluates the position and speed of all vehicles on all lanes in the tracking zone. This system is also used for capturing lane-changing or tailgating vehicles. VITRONIC is a global pioneer for tracking speed enforcement systems. This innovative system is widely employed by the enforcement systems and other related customers worldwide.

Established in 1984, VITRONIC is based at Wiesbaden, Germany. It offers machine vision systems under three chief categories including logistics, industrial automation, and traffic technology. The product range offers standardized and individually customized solutions. VITRONIC’s products are formulated and manufactured within the firm.

In the field of traffic technology, VITRONIC is well-suited for applications related to enforcement of vehicles in free-flowing traffic. In addition, it provides safety and security. It also benefits tolling system operators for automated toll collection and enforcement. With its products being used in over 40 countries, the company is a global pioneer among industrial machine vision plants.
