Impact Sports Receives 18th Patent for Mobile Optical Heart Rate Monitoring Technology

Impact Sports Technologies, Inc., the industry leader in innovative motion resistant strapless heart rate applications, has received its 18th patent, featuring the use of its mobile optical heart rate monitoring technology with a mobile communications device.

Impact Sports has 35 additional patents pending. Impact Sports Technologies' proprietary motion resistant heart rate technology and digital pedometer and activity monitor has been deployed in over two million games and fitness devices since 2010 as the company remains on the cutting edge of the current trend toward wearable computing and electronic devices. Its mobile, cost effective heart rate monitoring system is capable of tracking heart rate during heavy exercise as well as detection and monitoring of health related issues.

Impact Sports Technologies is pursuing FDA certification for its technology and applications in the identification and monitoring of heart conditions and sleep apnea among others.
