OTG-M170: GaAs-Based Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor

The OTG-M Series fiber optic temperature sensors from OpSens (OTG-M170. OTG-M220. OTG-M360. OTG-M420. OTG-M600. OTG-MPK5 and OTG-MPKB) provide exceptional performance in the harshest and most constrained conditions.

The OTG-M Series sensors make use of the well-established technique that is based on the temperature-dependent bandgap of gallium arsinide (GaAs) crystal as the temperature transduction mechanism. The presence of a microscale GaAs crystal situated at the tip of the optical fiber makes it appropriate for tip measurement applications.

The variation between each model of the OTG-M series is the response time and the diameter of the sensor (OD).

The OTG-M Series has been integrated with OpSens' SCBG (Semiconductor Bandgap) signal conditioning technology and with the inherent benefits of fiber optic. It gives unparalleled reliability and repeatability in the majority of unfavorable conditions like high levels of RE, EM, MR, and microwave field surroundings.

The OTG-M Series sensors are created with first-in-class optical fiber and are consistent with all OpSens SCBG signal conditioners. This small and strong fiber optic temperature sensor comes with different optical cables and sheath options and is tailored to customer-specific applications or for OEM-type applications.
