Flexpoint Sensor Systems Secures Purchase Order for its Bend Sensors

Published on May 31, 2011 at 7:14 AM

Flexpoint Sensor Systems declared that the company has been awarded an order to supply its bend sensors to an international firm for use in its flow meters.

Flexpoint's Bend Sensor Technology

Flexpoint anticipates delivering the sensors prior to the quarter end. The new order is a result of the successful evaluation of the company’s previous sensors. These sensors are based on the company’s patented Bend Sensor technology. The customer will use the sensors to sense and measure the product flow in the equipment used in its mixing operations.

Flexpoint’s bend sensor is suitable for such kind of applications due to its durability, chemical resistance, single layer structure and its capability to handle exposure to numerous liquids and adverse conditions. The President at Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Clark Mower, commented that the company is happy about the new purchase order.

Mower further said that following the successful completion of the production and evaluation, the company would get more sizeable orders for the sensors in the future that would eventually result in the sales of 30,000 to 60,000 sensors per year. The company is happy to notice the increasing usage of its bend sensor in numerous applications.
