Qesma graduated from the University of Manchester with an MSc in Biomaterials Science. Immediately after university, Qesma started working as a Clinical Advisor for a bio-testing company. During this time, they learned a great deal about the testing and pharmaceutical industry, but missed the hand-on element of being in the lab. Qesma then started working in the NHS Blood and Transplant as a Healthcare Technical Officer, where they process and manufacture therapeutic products from blood donations.
