Model 511 - Hammer Union Pressure Transmitter

The Viatran Model 511 hammer union pressure transmitter is among the most advanced in this field. It has an output of 4-20 mA, with a 2 inch 1502 fitting. It is approved for use in hazardous locations. It is ideal for such situations because of its unique design features, created to fulfill direct feedback requests from actual operators. Thus it has such advantages as a voltage-powered tool to calibrate the shunt, the ability to detect and track spikes in pressure, using software from HART® Communicators or DevCom2000-Lite. The whole sleek device is housed in an extremely rugged housing which can resist high vibrations and extreme impact amounting to abuse, while still maintaining standard parameters of performance.

Features

The Model 511 Hammer Union Pressure Transducer offers an array of features such as:

  • Compliance with RoHS
  • Suitability for high pressure situations of use
  • The ShuntCal to calibrate the shunt
  • An IP-68 approval
  • A 1502 fitting for the hammer union
  • A housing which offers easy access to the connector and provides 77% more area
  • A higher compensated temperature range of operation
  • A better sealing method to seal connector pins
  • External controls for settings to adjust, identify and capture peak pressures
  • A patented housing design which is resistant to high levels of impact and vibration in the workplace
  • Prevents the entry of fluid by the design which includes an angled connector (again patented), a base, the presence of drain holes for fluid, and sealing of connector pins

The relevant patent numbers are:
