Test, Develop, and Deploy Quickly
Dragonfly S has been developed with simplicity and modularity at its core. It empowers vision system designers by delivering tailored configurations to meet exacting requirements.
Camera reliability is never sacrificed while the camera supports essential machine vision features, and its cost-effective and sleek design speeds up development while ensuring part selection remains simple.
Ideal for volume-based applications, at-scale manufacturing, and multi-camera systems, Dragonfly S comes with multiple image sensors from industry leaders like onsemi, Sony, and Teledyne e2v, guaranteeing the highest-quality imaging performance for extensive vision applications.
Compact and Lightweight Design
With its small size and lightweight aluminum case, the Dragonfly S is made for portable use. It is available in board-level to fully-cased models and has numerous configurations to meet the requirements of many imaging systems.
Integration Made Easy
Cased models comply with EMC Class B specifications and lessen the requirement for further shielding in EMI-sensitive environments. Small electronics use USB power directly, removing the need for additional cabling and making system design easier for portable applications.
Built-in Reliability
Onboard image buffering ensures that every frame is accurately transferred to the host CPU, while universal locking adaptors provide strain relief for the micro-B USB connector.
Modular Options
Dragonfly S supports up to 20 camera configurations per image sensor. Options are available for:
- S-mount or CS-mount
- Back or side USB connector
- Color or Mono Sensor
- Full case, partial case, or bare board

Having worked with multiple Teledyne IIS camera series for over a decade, I had high expectations for the Dragonfly series as an upgrade to one of the existing camera lines we use in our high-performance Eye-tracking systems. I'm pleased to say that it not only met but exceeded our expectations. The Dragonfly's flexible configurations made it very straightforward to integrate into our existing workflow. The Dragonfly provides a cost effective solution to our need for high quality machine vision cameras and has become an invaluable asset for our Eye-tracking systems.
