TEGAM Introduces New Industrial Thermocouple Thermometers to Help Food Manufacturers Prevent Foodborne Illness

TEGAM, Inc., a leading supplier of digital hand held thermometers for 30 years, is introducing a new series of industrial thermocouple thermometers to aid food manufacturers in preventing foodborne illness.

TEGAM’s new 900 Series are the only Bluetooth® low energy technology enabled universal thermocouple handheld thermometers made in the U.S.A. They provide a complete data logging solution with cloud storage and wireless transmission for no additional investment. These highly capable units provide 0.05% accuracy, 1000 hour battery life, a three-year warranty and easily cleanable cases.

These new models are the most accurate thermometers ever offered by TEGAM to meet the increasing demands of the regulatory requirements where process temperature measurement is critical. They are available in a variety of configurations:

  • 911A single and 912A dual input simple, durable and accurate thermocouple thermometers
  • 931A single and 932A dual input data collection thermocouple thermometers with Bluetooth

Superior instrument accuracy, combined with the capabilities of the “Probe Offset” feature to zero out any probe errors, makes the 900 Series’ “system” accuracy unmatched in the industry. The units are able to provide a long battery life using commonly available AA batteries to provide convenient and dependable portable measurement capability without the need for expensive batteries, AC adapters or chargers. The creative ergonomic design makes these instruments easy to hold, easy to read and easy to clean. Designed for one-handed operation, these tools are comfortable to carry and use for extended periods of time. The heavy-duty case is specifically designed for durability and resistance to contaminants such as dust and chemicals. The smooth, sleek, seamless case means that cleaning is quick and certain.

Real-time statistical data increases user productivity, process efficiency and product quality. Displayed on-demand MIN, MAX, AVG, RNG and STDEV (standard deviation) provide critical process information and diagnostics that allow the user to analyze manufacturing processes and make immediate adjustments for maximum efficiency and quality.

The onboard data-logging feature allows users to accurately record and store up to 1000 time-stamped measurements. The user may review them on the device and transfer them using Bluetooth wireless technology via a phone, tablet or PC to be stored locally or on the freely accessible cloud server. This seamless connectivity allows the user to collect, transmit and store accurate temperature data for analysis or compliance reporting without any additional or third party software.

“TEGAM combined its thermometry experience with its knowledge of the demands that the Food Safety Modernization Act has placed on food manufacturers to design this new line of thermometers,” said Andy Brush, CEO of TEGAM, Inc. “In addition, we incorporated the TEGAM Cloud™ to make it easy for food manufacturers to store critical temperature data and easily achieve compliance.”
