SmoothGray Technology-Enabled Monitors from Barco

Barco is launching a novel 10 megapixel, 30” grayscale monitor, featuring a resolution capacity of 4096 x 2560.

The monitor incorporates the company's innovative SmoothGray technology, exhibiting ‘Just Noticeable Differences’ adjusted according to the human eye sensitivity range.

The advanced 10MP Coronis monitor is based on the improved IPS WideView LCD technology, producing grayscale pictures with excellent contrast and brightness, dark blacks, and appropriate geometry. The IPS WideView offers better view from any side, for multiple-user inspection of clinical images.

The Coronis Fusion 10MP features a fusion design for enhancing performance and lowering eye fatigue. The Fusion architecture of the monitor was launched with the company’s proven Coronis Fusion 6MP DL color display system. This innovative architecture helps to arrange 30-inch workarea as two 5-MegaPixel displays or as one broad-screen 10 MP display. This feature permits the comparison of earlier and recent mammography pictures without the interruption of a central bezel, or observation of chest X-ray images or 40 full-resolution CT/MR pictures with high diagnostic accuracy on a single screen.

For consistency and enhanced display duration, the Coronis Fusion 10MP features many backlight and thermal sensing devices. These sensors function with the Ambient Light Compensation sensor and the I-Guard front sensor to enhance the display for high stable and efficient performance.

The monitor is available in a 'plug & play' package, with a speedy display controller and the new model of MediCal QAWeb system for Quality Assurance. The system supplies a turnkey substitution for double-head systems. With the integrated DVI and DisplayPort interfaces, the users can execute speedy and secure communication of the information.
