Lyrtech, manufacturer of digital signal processing solutions, has entered a $342,000 building automation sensor manufacturing agreement with a multinational client.
The manufacturing agreement was signed after the 12-month development of the sensor for the undisclosed client. Lyrtech expects to extend the agreement for a further period and produce another sensor solution in the building automation segment that would increase the total value of the sensor contract to around $6.7 million.
Growing concerns on energy efficiency and energy use is expected to fuel the demand for the sensor product in building automation applications. The sensor will enable central controllers in smart buildings to adjust airflow, light and heat.
Lyrtech has also developed other technologies, which are being evaluated in building automation and smart buildings.
